I was told about letterboxing years ago by a friend - I actually had to pick up a box for her because she had moved and wanted her box. I had bookmarked and looked at the letterboxing.org site back then, but then forgot about it for a long time. Last week I was looking through my links for something else and came across that one again, and decided to check it out once more. The more I read about it, the more interested I got. Now, I'm signed up on LBNA and on atlasquest.com, and have started this hobby! So far we've gotten some supplies to get started, and I've carved my first four stamps! Here are the pics:
This is my very first stamp - I did this free hand on a Staedler eraser. Hey! Stop laughing!
This was my second. Yup, just a letter "B".
This was my third, and is my signature stamp.
This is my fourth, and is Betty Boop3's signature stamp.
I've been surprised that I can actually do this, AND enjoy it! We're planning on going out to find our first boxes this weekend, and then after that we are planning on planting some of our own boxes. If you're interested in learning more, check out the links listed on my page here. And if you're looking for me on there, I'm Bubbaloo Magoo. Check it out!
